From Walmec the most innovative spray gun ever

During the recent exhibitions at Automechanika Frankfurt and Madrid, the star from Walmec, was our new “GENESI CARBONIO 360″ spray gun, thanks to the “TOP 5 Innovation Award” prize we were awarded, in Frankfurt (September 2016) , and the FIRST PRIZE “Innovation Award” in Madrid on the 15th of March 2017.

It generated significant interest, by the visitors and main Walmec S.p.a. competitors who visited our stand to request further information. It was proof that hard and professional work is always recognised. We had a lot of question, thus I feel I should summarise some of the distinguishing aspects tied to this new product.

As for the pressure regulator, the new DGT digital model with quick coupling gauge and 30° swivel fitting is also ready. Once the pressure is regulated, this will let you easily remove the gauge and work in full freedom. Extremely helpful even for spray gun cleaning, directly with gun cleaner without having to worry about removing the regulator.

Motortec Madrid: FIRST PRICE “Innovation Award”

CLEANING: the spray gun resists any type of solvent and stripper aggression, thus being very easy to clean and maintain all its structural and aesthetic features intact.
OPERATIONS-DURABILITY: no problems on this level. The main components are made of stainless steel, brass and aluminium.
PERFORMANCE: significantly improved from the GENESI TOP Line model, thanks to investments in CNC 5-axis equipment that allowed us to achieve extremely high quality standards. Furthermore, fervent R&D activities led to studying new geometries and air passages that granted the spray gun unprecedented performance and yield levels.
TECHNICAL CENTRES: we are continuously striving to obtain official approvals from leading paint manufacturers. The feedback we’ve received to date is very positive and thus we are counting on reaching this goal soon.
RECOMMENDED DIAMETERS: along with certificates, we will send you tables on the various types of brands and paints. It should be noted that, currently, the 1.3 diameter for both the base and clear, seems to be the best, except for PPG clear that requires 1.2
BASE COAT-CLEAR COAT: we offer 3 different models: HTE clear, HTE base, HVLP. Why 3? First of all, we identified two application methods: base coat and clear coat, that tend to require 2 different spray guns. Thus we offer HTE clear for the clear coat and HTE base or HVLP for the base coat. Walmec recommends the HTE system for both the opaque base and transparent, but leaves the choice between HTE base or HVLP since extremely personal. Technical centre indications are very positive for both models, thus it depends on the painter’s habits. HTE clear/HTE base: same system (high transfer efficiency), but 2 different spray guns, both for internal air flow in the gun body and for the cap. The two models differ for the different cap output pressure, higher for HTE clear, that offers higher atomisation for clear coat and full respect of the colour point for base coat.
ADJUSTMENTS: this is a very subjective aspect concerning micro aspects. From the macro standpoint, however, it is essential that some parameters are met:
– input pressure: 2 bar
– jet regulator: fully open
– product regulator: from 3.5 turns up, up to a max 5 turns.
The different opening depends on the user’s typical application speed as well as the differing product viscosities.
